About Me

Hi, I’m Siddarth Ramkumar, a student at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona, with a passion for science, research, and environmental conservation. My curiosity about Buffel grass began during bike rides along a canal near my home, which led me to develop an AI model to help identify and control this invasive species. I’ve also volunteered with the Sonoran Weedwackers to remove Buffel grass, gaining hands-on experience in ecological preservation. Beyond this, I won 1st place at the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF) for creating a Smart Watering System that uses soil moisture sensors to conserve water. I participated in the Leaders in Training (LIT) program, where I helped homeowners address high water usage and learned about municipal water management. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to tackling environmental challenges and using technology to drive positive change.
